The Kingpin is a classic puffy-tongue skate shoe inspired by the earlier etnies Fader design. It sports a durable suede upper with perforated “E” logos on the side, a die-cut EVA insole and EVA midsole for cushioning, and a 400 NBS rubber outsole for grip. With its generously padded tongue and collar, the Kingpin delivers retro styling and comfort while built to withstand daily skate abuse.

You ruined them!

The old design of these shoes was the absolute best, but the new narrower fit is terrible. They smash my toes, and I have narrow feet!! I’ve worn almost nothing but Etnies for 25 years, but you lost me now that you’re making shoes for fashion instead of function

Very comfortable yet cheaply made.

I’ve had these shoes for a few weeks and love them. The styling is killer and the comfort is amazing. The only downside is the materials are somewhat lacking. The logo part on the rear of the shoe started to crack and flake off on the first day. Now after a few weeks it looks absolutely terrible.

Like them

They take a few days to break in. They were stiff and hurt the first day at the crease for the ball of the foot. But getting better the more I ware them.

Why do you slim everything down??

I bought these etnies from wss and i had these back then and i've noticed that they've been slimmed all the way down!! They suck and it feels like its crushing my feet Whats up with all the slimming down stuff!! Atleast eS has some bulk to their shoes and reissues comfortable protective shoes but etnies even has their chunkiest shoes slimmed down!! Boardfeel should not come before comfort and protection, also the durability is just terrible, i had bought some faders from amazon about a year ago and they lasted me not even a month and i didnt really skate heavy on them.

The go-to skate shoe for 90s/2000s skaters!

I started skating again later in life and I found it difficult to find a skate shoe that I was accustomed to in my teens and twenties. Thankfully, Etnies still produces a tried-and-true model that holds up to tons of abuse. All I skate are Kingpins; they last for months and they spare my aging knees!

Love the color!

Purchased these shoes strictly for the color. Ive wore skate shoes for over 25 years and have owned several other brands in this color. To me the brown is more formal than the typical black. The quality and comfort of the shoes are decent at best and took a few times wearing to break them in to the point of being comfortable.. price was competitive to other brands for me they simply filled a niche other brands dont currently offer

Very good quality thick shoes. 10/10 recommend for skaters or just for fashion!
