I hate to divulge my secrets, but these make kick as$ pickleball shoes. The Michelin tread is awesome and provides a solid "chirp" as it grabs court like like a fat girl to a cheeseburger, simply unbelievable. It sounds like a basketball court when I step on and right away people know I mean bizness.... then they say,
"Hey man, are those Etnies? WTF?" and I say, "Ya bra, I stole these kicks from my youth, and now you gunna die, you pickleball fool!"
The tread-life is slightly above average, but way better than what you can expect from the big sport shoe brands. The shoe fits snugly and does NOT have the super-thick tongue that makes your feet swelter and shoes reek to high-heaven.
Get Etnies to kick **** on the asphalt, then get them again when you're too old to skate, but want to shred it on the pickleball court... I hear there even better on shuffleboard deck, I'm just not there yet.
Love these shoes! I'm a forever Michelin shoe dude! These shoes last a lifetime
These shoes are the grippiest shoes I’ve ever had.
I like the shoes. For one they are not identicle to vans. Second It feels kind of like a pair air forces took inspiration from vans. They are stiffer than vans and more padded than vans. Which can take a couple days to get used to but its not bad at all. I think the way its built makes it better for skating then vans or air forces. The only thing i was excited about was the stitching was good but not the cleanest. A couple quarter centimeters or half centimeters would pertrude outwards. You could slightly tell where the stitching started and ended which is fine but for 100 dollars i would hope that wasnt the case purely for asthetics. But i would most likely buy again hopefully the next ones look even better.
