Reviews

MTB shoes praised for exceptional pedal grip with Michelin soles that rival competitors. Customers said "amazing quality" and "super comfortable" with neoprene liner preventing dirt entry. However, sizing runs small and narrow, particularly in toe area, causing discomfort on long rides. Some experienced heel irritation from stitching. Highly durable with excellent ankle support.

  • Amazing quality shoe. Feels very solid on the pedal with the nice grip.
  • Blown away by the grip with Michelin sole, great upper fit with the sock - easy to put on.
  • Extremely comfortable shoe that you can spend all day in. Super grippy on the pedals.

Amazing quality shoe

Amazing quality shoe. Feels very solid on the pedal with the nice grip. The ankle insert keeps you feeling solid on big hits

Thank you so much! Pedal grip, solid feel and ankle support on big hits, that's exactly what we built these for! So stoked they're delivering on all fronts. Ride on! :)

This is my 2nd pair- decided to snag a pair to keep in the closet, have had a pair for maybe 3+ years now, the soles are kinda chipping away and they aren’t quite as stiff, however that doesn’t really affect the performance. I’m sad to hear etnies has killed the MTB line- these are the best MTB shoes ever, creek crossings or dabs in the snow do not phase the pedal grip, it’s magical. Not to mention the neoprene dirt and rock blockers that prevent dirt from getting into the shoes, dorky I know but so cool. I know this segment is hard, I appreciate all that went into these shoes. Bueno!

Hi there. Thank you for your support and for coming back for a second pair, it really means a lot to us! We’re stoked to hear the shoes have held up for over three years and that the grip has been delivering even in tough conditions. We also appreciate your kind words about the MTB line and the details like the neoprene blockers. Feedback like yours truly means a lot to the team that worked on these shoes. Enjoy the fresh pair!
Cheers,

I've basically tried every mountain bike shoe Etnie makes and quit a few other companies shoes.

Like the title says I've tried a decent amount of flat pedal shoes and I'd say this is one of my favorite so I hope they didn't quit making it. Probably the best mountain bike shoe Etnie makes. It doesn't have as much protection and it's not as heavy duty or stiff as the Culverts (My second pick of Etnie shoe) but it's definitely the most grippy one they make. I bought these when they first came out and rode them for a season or better. They're still in decent shape but they will wear a little bit quickly which is the price you pay for good grip. Of all the mountain bike shoes I've tried this is one of the only ones to rival 510 when it comes to grip. The liners nice for keeping rocks and dirt out of your shoes. They offer decent foot protection. They don't breathe the best so I usually ride a lighter weight shoe in the middle of summer and these during cooler times but that's just personal preference.

Awesome for MTB!

I got some vans and these. These things are way better than the vans! Get you some very geippy pedals and go ride!

Little tighter in the toe area than expecting so I would’ve gotten a 10.5 if I had the chance again.. the grip of the shoe is very strong on the pedal and I can ride both BMX and MTB with this shoe on

Comfortable

Its been only 5 or 6 rides, but I got to say these Etnies are far more comfortable than old pair of 5/10's.
Also feels gripper with Michelin soles.
Love them.

Shoes are too narrow. Otherwise seem like a decent shoe.

Not to happy about the built in socks. Or whatever they are! I didn't know they had them until I received them. First time not happy with my etnies.

Camber

Pretty solid shoe so far. Not as grippy as a 5.10 or RC but overall nice quality. Very low cut and roomy so good for users of ankle braces.
Runs a tiny bit small but not enough to really justify going up a 1/2 unless you have a high volume foot.

Shoes are insane. Super comfortable and feel snug but not too snug. Great grip and they look styling. Excited to see how they hold up throughout the season. Highly recommend.

too small

My toes are bunched up and get blisters on long rides. The sizing needs to be changed. The grip isn't too bad, but I've had many skate shoes with better grip. They're great shoes, and a snug fit is good, but these are downright too small.

Insanely good

I’ve had a few of the usually suspects and everyone one had drawbacks. I took a shot with Etnies for a great sale price and I’m blown away by the grip with Michelin sole, great upper fit with the “sock” - easy to put on. I’m a believer!

Awesome shoes , great grip for mountain biking and outside activities. Tight dust "cover" is awesome and keep your socks cleaner than any other shoes tried.

Pictures are deceiving

Size fits super small, and the shoe looks like a cheaply made grandpa shoes. Had huge hopes this would be half the shoe that my old Osiris datz but boy was a wrong

They look clean

Shoes look and feel great, but are a little heavier than I prefer and can be kinda hard to out on, but not too hard. I would like itnif it had a boa to tighten them as well. They are pretty good all around, but could be better if they were lighter and had a boa.

These are exceptional shoes for athletics as well as tactical maneuvers. Asphalt or mud, they're equally suited to both! I replaced the laces that came with them, but that was just for my personal aesthetic.

Do you like it raw!?

This is actually a really good shoe but wow did they completely tear up the back of my ankles. There is neoprene stitching at back of shoe for the inner liner and it completely tears apart your heal worse then I’ve ever experienced. After first ride in them I had to take them
Off and drive home barefoot because my heel hurt so bad. That being said I ordered some blister gel patches off Amazon and put those on and still wear the shoes riding because I like the shoe that much lol

Would order again! Ultimate comfort and heel protection!

Nice looking shoe

Super nice looking shoe. The fit is a little tight because of the sock type insert. Wish I would have known how the feel would be and would have went with a different style.

These were falling apart after less than 30 days

I purchased these shoes after a year and 8 months of daily riding the Marana crank shoes and a great experience with them but these new camber pro with the new michelin bottoms were NOT 3X as durable and its obviously not the same awesome michelin bottom and it is highly inferior to its predecessor sole. The side of the shoe cracked open and I had to cut out an entire panel of synthetic material exposing the weaved material underneath, which looked fine afterwards but didn't match the other shoe. The laces didn't work well I used some stretchy elastic ones instead with good result. The michelin bottoms got torn apart by my pedals and as an mtb specific shoe it was hard to believe I'd only gotten 20 something days of riding after spending top dollar and full price on them. The worst feature in my opinion is the area where textile material is woven into the rubber under the toe box. Thag is where the most damage happened and occurred within the first 3 or 4 rides. I was refunded the full value of the shoes and purchased the vegan Marana michelin which are amazing and have held up so far as faithfully as my original Marana crank pair. Please stop making these soles and stick with the original Marana michelin style bottoms for optimal grip, feedback, pedal feel, and durability unlike any other mtb shoe out there.
