The Barge Plus is an upgraded evolution of the Barge, engineered for increased durability and support. It features an STI Performance Level 2 insole for better impact protection and a reinforced “Force Shield” upper for longevity. The toe is a clean one-piece vamp to improve flick and reduce blowouts, and the foxing tape is double-wrapped vulc for extra lifespan. Despite these reinforcements, it retains a low-top silhouette with moderate padding. Essentially, etnies took the slim Barge and beefed it up in critical areas (collar, insole, foxing) to create the Barge Plus – a more “built-up” vulc that can handle harsher skating while maintaining boardfeel.
