The Camber Mid Michelin is a mountain bike-oriented mid-top that etnies engineered for maximum pedal grip and foot protection. It uses a Michelin rubber outsole featuring the new “GRIP & RIP” tread pattern that locks into pedal pins. The sticky rubber compound yields excellent pedal and ground traction. This shoe’s mid-cut profile and padded tongue/collar offer ankle support on rough trails. It includes an STI Performance Level 2 insole and “bumper” toe cap for impacts. Essentially, the Camber Mid Michelin is built to take on BMX/MTB trails, dirt jumps, or heavy-duty street skating – wherever extra grip and support are needed.

New Grip and Rip Outsole Took Some Pedal Swapping

I loved the outsole of the Culverts. I found it to be consistently grippy, and confidence inspiring because I never worried about slipping a pedal. I can’t say this has been my experience with the new outsole all along, but I have found the right pedal combination that makes them feel fantastic now. The new outsole is thicker, which lends itself to less pedal feel, similarly because the grip and rip pattern is only at the ball of the foot it feels more vague and less integrated with the pedal. This was my experience with the Raceface Chester and Chromag Daggas anyway, BUT the Cambers matched to the Deity T Mac feels incredible! Just know you might need to pedal swap until you find your match, once you do these shoes beat all the competition.

Long lasting soles

5-10 has always been my go to shoe but the soles last about 4-6 months and their toast. These Etnies with the Michelin sole last well over a year, I still don’t have holes in my original pair. A little stiff at first. Feet migrate around the pedals a bit but like a good motocross boot you have to break them in, then it’s game on!

They are sized too small. I had to return lim and they were already sold out

Excellent shoe, hideous colorway

Please make more vegan mtb models like this with the awesome michelin bottoms but in non revolting colors like maybe black, blue, or gray for example

Greatly Improved Over the Previous Model.

I have been wearing the new Camber Mids for roughly a month with regular riding during that time. Probably about 15 days worth of riding and 15 worth of general wear. The bottoms are barely nicked and chipped from my pedals, all of the glue is still intact and I have had zero delamination of the toe caps. All of which I has seen issues with to varying degrees with the previous version. The new model is equally as sticky, but does take a day or two to wear in. I would recommend these to a friend now but would have been hesitant to do so with the previous models. Well done

Too small

I bought the size. I typically where in every other shoe and turned out. They were too small and they don't do exchanges. So I sent them back thinking. I would reorder a size larger, but they're all sold out.
