I bought these shoes to get a durable pair of shoes for hanging Christmas lights. I use these shoes to go up and down very steep pitched even sometimes wet roofs. The grip on these shoes is the best I've found for this job so far. They are tough enough so far to handle the strain and wear on them. Including dragging the tops and sides across the shingles. The soft flat bottom with a lot of surface area for contact is ideal for using in roofing in my opinion. They flex well which helps keep maximum contact on the shingles. The large rubber sides grip well for when I need to kneel down and still require grip from my foot. I've not found any better footwear for it yet. I think etnies could do well to advertise a shoe with the same characteristics for roofers.
They are really stable for a slip on, and the toecap is sticky and bulletproof. Very pleased!
