When etnies owner, Pierre-Andre Senizergues first arrived in America to pursue his dream to skate, he found himself homeless on the streets of Venice, California. Today, this experience is still one of the reasons why he is passionate and proud that etnies has given away a total 45,500 pairs of shoes worth $2.7 million in retail value in downtown Los Angeles, the nation's largest concentration of homeless people living and sleeping on public sidewalks.
This year, we’ll be able to donate another 1,500 pairs of shoes and thanks to a partnership with Active Ride Shops, we’ll be able to donate another 1,500 pairs of socks to homeless residents of Skid Row. Our #etniesGivesBack program is celebrating 20 years with this donation and we’re stepping up to do more with your help. For every pair of etnies shoes purchased through April 14, we’ll donate $2.03 – the cost of one hot meal – to Los Angeles Mission. It’s all part of what we can do together to give hope to homeless residents.
We thank you for joining us in giving back while you shop.
