SENIOR GLOBAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

Job Objective:
Reporting directly to the President, the Senior Director of Marketing will oversee the Company’s marketing department with direct responsibility for the development and implementation of branding, messaging, and market/product development efforts. This role must communicate product and brand stories that are innovative and inspirational, deliver an exceptional customer experience and keep pace with the quickly changing trend and business growth. This position plans, directs, and manages all marketing strategies, functions, policies, objectives and initiatives including brand development, creative and advertising, PR, social media, partnerships, digital marketing, managing partnerships, B2B marketing, direct to consumer marketing, team management, tradeshows, product marketing, internal communications and social responsibility initiatives for all business units. The Senior Director of Marketing will be charged with effectively managing and building reciprocal relationships with new and existing industry partners, organizations, and other key stakeholders. In facilitating integrated marketing strategies and tactics, the Senior Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing the day-to-day marketing operations, with a heavy focus on digital marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plans, controls, and directs activities of the marketing team in an effort to define and service the needs of retailers, distributors, manufactures, national accounts and online direct sales.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and develop new marketing strategies to obtain maximum sales volume and profitability by gaining buy in with key owners, establishing clear KPI and deliverables and encompassing all aspects of customer touch points.
  • Review, develops and leads a high-performance, professional marketing organization with clear accountability for delivering results ‪. Also responsible for Managing 3rd party vendors as needed to help support business needs.
  • Maintains thorough and complete understanding of market and product knowledge by interfacing with product department, partners, and industry leaders. Maintains a solid understanding of product capabilities by comparative analysis to competitive products.
  • Develop a close working relationship and an integrated process with product development effectively identifying and communicating market needs and trends, product opportunities and gaps, and competitive weaknesses as needed.
  • Oversees and manages the Company’s marketing team to develop appropriate marketing and advertising strategies for all brands (e.g. market research, advertising, promotion, retail marketing, tradeshows, creative, digital marketing, event marketing, team management, etc.) and identifies key marketing outlets and competitive strategies.
  • Oversee and Capitalize on digital marketing initiatives e-commerce marketing, database initiatives, email, social media and display advertising campaigns, work with direct reports responsible for day to day creative execution and leverage the latest technologies to improve upon the brand. Show a strong understanding and experience in marketing technology, including digital marketing and marketing automation.
  • Develops and maintains a multi-year product marketing plan (GTM) that is appropriately integrated and prioritized with the sales plans. Works with internal sales teams to bring this to fruition.
  • Develop Seasonal SMU and Collaboration requests. Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current collaborators by coordinating this relationship with Sole Technology teams and executing marketing initiatives to completion.
  • Oversee the development, production, launch and maintenance of multiple catalogs.
  • Lead the creative design team to create leading edge, best-in-the-world brand communications that deliver upon the vision for the business.
  • Develop and execute dynamic campaigns that drive growth for all target segments. Guide development of all relevant marketing content including product promotion, team presentations, engaging presentations, video production, blog posts, and social media to highlight the company’s unique value.
  • Drive user/consumer research by leading in-depth consumer understanding efforts, with both qualitative and quantitative components.
  • Develop and mentor the staff, ensuring they continue to gain skills and experience in preparation for larger roles. Promote a culture of collaboration and customer focus. Responsibility for talent management and retention of marketing staff.
  • Assess the team and the processes among the various functions. Identify gaps and areas for improvement and develop a strategy to enhance the organization’s performance.

  • BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • A minimum of 6+ years marketing experience in youth consumer product driven company with a focus on footwear and apparel. Experience in the branding sector preferred. Experience with global partner co-branded marketing a plus. Experience in action sports industry preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer and/or B2B branding and marketing.
  • 5+ years of progressive brand management experience in a fast-paced global environment.

NETWORK AND OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Job Objective:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and specific guidance of the IT Project Manager, Network & Operations Specialist will ensure the stable operation of the Sole Technology MS Exchange and Windows environments and will be responsible for daily technical and operational activities performed within our Financial System (Axapta), Aims, Clippership, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, test, maintain/repair, monitor, and troubleshoot end user computers/software, network hardware, printing/scanning devices (such as RF Guns, and other products) within the warehouse and Lake Forest
  • Maintain data quality within the warehouse management system (WMS) application by ensuring proper control processes are being followed.
  • Maintain data quality within the shipping system by ensuring proper control processes are being followed.
  • Recommend and implement corrective solutions to operational warehouse problems, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plan.
  • Maintain archived data on storage devices.
  • Perform maintenance duties such as system backup, cleanup and system recovery on a regular basis.
  • Perform maintenance, service, management of current systems, designs, development.
  • Write code, when needed, to application services including Axapta, EDI, and any other instructed by management.

IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Job Objective:
Under general supervision, will provide maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets tracking, computer system, application and telecommunication support for all subsidiaries of Sole Technology, Inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and deliver required hardware service levels according to company policies.
  • Provide training and support to, end users and staff on equipment operation and other issues.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, and other products.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user software Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware problems for a variety of end users.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, texts, and/or e-mails regarding hardware problems.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all peripherals (monitors/keyboards/hard drives/etc)
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all networking equipment in production and testing/QA environments.
  • Document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Conduct research on, and make recommendations for, hardware products in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and equipment vendors.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future technology needs.
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and be on call if needed to respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide user support and training for use of computer software and hardware.
  • Configure and install new computer systems and associated software.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing computer systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and software for existing and proposed systems.
  • Interface and coordinate data and system needs with departments.
  • Install and maintain existing software for local and wide area networks.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the following operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2003-2012 Pro, Mac OSX 10.6-10.10.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all Microsoft Office application products and suites Office 2003/2007/2010, Visio, OneNote.

Physical Demands and Work Enviorment:
This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees have occasional exposure to irate customers, staff and public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
