He's all over TV as one of the few professional skateboarders to have his own show following the events of his life. He's all over magazines, feeding the passions of both skateboarders and teenage girls alike. And his name is on the tongue of virtually every other skater on the globe. Ryan Sheckler has a lot of expectations to live up to, and there's no question that he'll be able to live up to all of them.
Ryan first stepped onto a board at the age of eighteen months and started learning tricks at the age of four. It wasn't long before he entered contests and made a name for himself for skating at such an advanced level for someone his age. Soon after, Ryan found himself riding for World Industries and shocking even veteran pros with his style and trick selection. Ryan turned pro for World at the age of 13 and continued winning contests and putting out video parts. After making the move to Almost, Ryan put out what many consider his first raw street part in Digital video magazine's Everyday.
In 2007 Ryan joined forces with the reformed Plan B team and found himself on a team with legendary skaters Danny Way and Pat Duffy and other soon-to-be legends like PJ Ladd and Ryan Gallant. With his part in the Plan B promo Superfuture, Ryan further showed that his stylish and powerful skating will set the bar for how others skate in the future. Comfortable on larger-than-life transitions and huge street drops, Ryan is an all-terrain ripper who makes both skaters and ordinary citizens sit up and take notice.
Ryan is working on a part for the new Plan B video, Unquestionable, which is sure to be as revolutionary in skateboarding as their previous videos Questionable and Second Hand Smoke. We expect Shecks to have a classic part for the ages and are proud to have had him repping etnies ever since his pint-sized days.
When he's not skating, Ryan enjoys snowboarding, riding his dirt bike, surfing, playing a round on the golf course and listening to music.
