Jose Rojo was introduced to the skateboard world in the Tilt Mode Army’s 2000 eponymous near-masterpiece, Tilt Mode, with a title card that read, “¡Hola, me llamo Jose Rojo!”. From there, the San Jose, CA big man has shined, following that part up with plenty of moves in Tilt Mode features and Enjoi’s Bag of Suck.
In the van, Jose’s a happily welcome sardonic presence and always well dressed, while outside of the van he skates in a gracefully lanky, tech-to-tech-gnar way. He’s got your ledge-work and your kickflip backtail on the rail, looking awesome the whole time. Off the board, Big Joe Red is a lover of fishing and food, as a member of the Bass Turdz and the Steady Eating Crew, respectively. There’s no doubt the dude lives life well.
