Born in Grenoble and currently living in Lyon, France, Charles Collet is quickly making a name for himself thanks to his fearless attack on everything set in front of him and his ability to flip onto and over everything as he skates transition. No stranger to big flip frontside boardslides on handrails, or stylish backside smiths and head high crail grabs in over head deep bowls, Charles is a genuine ripper. More importantly, Charles combines his raw power and deep bag of tricks into a package that exemplifies smooth skating. It's almost like he's taken the car from one of his favorite movies, Death Proof, and decided that he was going to skate as fast, if not faster, than the 1970 Chevy Nova featured in the film.
Heading up the new breed of European rippers, Loulou, as he's sometimes called, skates fast, solid and isn't afraid to take a slam or two if that's what it takes to make a trick. Charles has a good attitude about skating and is always down to get others motivated to try new tricks or keep trying the ones that they're over trying. After seeing Charles skate, it becomes quite clear why cliché chose him to join their squad and why we asked him to join the fam here at etnies.
When Charles isn't charging full force on his board, you might to find him playing guitar, watching movies or sneaking in a quick viewing of Dragon Ball Z before a session.
To see a perfect example of Charles’s raw power in visual form, check out his part in the latest cliché video project, Cle: Live and UnPlugged, or feast your eyes upon some of his remixed cliché footage in Deja Vu, remixed by Ewan Bowman, to see how he's grown and progressed in his skating.
