I grew up in a town in south Jersey, about 5 minutes from Philadelphia. It’s a town where sports were pretty big in the community. Growing up I played just about every sport. I still do enjoy playing sports nowadays, probably more now than growing up, haha. But for as long as I can remember, I always rode a bike. My friends and I grew up jumping curbs and making ramps out of anything we could find. But I remember the moment when all I wanted to do was ride my bike. My friend and I went down to these trails we had heard about from his older brother. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. The site of a person going through a rhythm section for the first time was eye opening. After that day nothing else mattered. Sports went out the window and all I wanted to do was ride. I think that the 6 years I spent riding and digging in those woods helped define the person I am today. Whether it is the easy going, no care in the world side of me, or the hard working, motivated asshole who loves to heckle and have a good time. I think I owe it most to the trails, as well as the people. Being the youngest guy of the crew I would receive most of the heckling, so I got pretty good at giving it back. Nowadays the one thing I enjoy just as much as riding, is traveling. Luckily, when I travel, most of the time it’s to ride and film for a project I’m working on. But the apprehensive, nervous feeling of going to a new place, or having no idea where you are but it's ok cause your riding your bike, is a feeling that will never will get old. I’m not sure what kind of person I would be without riding. Not sure I want to know either. But I do know I’m going to be riding and traveling for as long as my body allows me to.
