This just in from Kit!

I attended a grip of shows but had to feature my Project Runway cohort Christian Siriano—his footwear really blew my mind - and that none of his models ate it walking down the runway! Shocking! I sat nervously expecting this… shhhh don’t tell him.

Completely obsessed with footwear, I had to capture the chopstick inspired heel he created for his Spring show. Fantastic!

The other reason I liked his show best was because his finale was pretty rad - with boring industry traditions - usually at the end all of the models walk out one by one in a long train…. Zzzzz. But not at this show. Christian sent all the models out at the same time in this critical mass of fashion art right in your face. It was awesome. An army of models - runway turned installation.

I visited Christian’s showroom a few days later and had a chance to (try) and run around in his shoes, look at the collection up close and play dress up as well. Luckily he sent me home with prizes! Thanks Christian!

Worth the overweight baggage fee. After a night of Siriano extreme walking however, I was overjoyed to return to my etnies kicks for daytime adventures around the city.
