Sally won her Round 1, Heat 4 of the Movistar Peru Classic and is hungry for a win! She's set to surf Heat 3 of the Quarter Finals against good ol' Coco Ho. Should be a fun one to watch!
Current ASP Women's World number two, Sally Fitzgibbons continued to impress, posting a win over Amee Donohoe and Anali Gomez.
"It always feels good to get through Round One," said Sally Fitz. "I felt pretty good in the heat, but the waves were challenging. I've been in Peru for one or two weeks now and it's been good preparation. I was working at the Red Bull camp and getting used to the waves and the water."
Coming off runner-up finishes in both New Zealand and Sydney, the new school up and comer is keen to go one better at this event.
"Sitting in number two on the rankings is a great place for me," Fitzgibbons said. "It takes the pressure off and makes me hungry to better myself at the same time. I've had a few Runner-Ups and to walk away with a win in Peru would be amazing."
