Tulsa’s not exactly known for its huge BMX scene, to be honest, & we thought that “Quickie Mart's” turn out might be a less than stellar… oh were we wrong!!! With a parking lot PACKED with kids on bikes & a few skaters, as well as a good-sized crowd of armchair enthusiasts, the team was seriously stoked! The folks at Quickie Mart didn’t hold back & did it up right: Street ramps, BBQ, giveaways & even a $200.00 hops comp & best trick contest, in which Tony Hamlin held his own, but got beat out by a bad ass local. Honorable mention to the Vert demigod, Mr. Jamie Bestwick holding it down at 40' without the use of a single transition… Props! A little impromptu doubles action from Aaron Ross & Mr. Hamlin brought smiles to peoples faces as did all the free giveaways & good times. The day was an amazing success.
