Sally finishes 3rd at Bells

A third place finish for Sally at the Ripcurl Pro Bells Beach.

Following on from a 5th at the first event at Snapper, Sally equaled her last year result here with a 3rd place finish, losing to the eventual winner Steph Gilmore. Sally started the day well with a decisive win over Coco Ho in the quarter finals 16.5 to 3.54 respectively in a heat that went Sally's way from beginning to end. The semi final was a closer affair but Gilmore secured the best wave of the heat midway through and Sally was unable to find one to line up and better the score.

As a consolation Sally picked up a $1000 for the expression session held prior to the final

After 2 events Sally sits equal 5th on the World Tour rankings as the tour moves to New Zealand for the first time in a few weeks time.
