When Adam Baker's not riding, he's... um... riding? I wish my winters were that shitty.
Ok, so I live in the mile high city and because of that I get to deal with this shitty thing called winter. As soon as it warms up for long enough and the 20 some Denver area parks dry up, it snows again. What can you do. Well you take full advantage of Denver and go to the Rockies! Fellow BMXers Clay Brown, Matt Olson, Bill Gram and myself have this thing called back country Tuesdays. Every Tuesday we head up into the Rockies and do a lot of hiking and then fly down the massive mountains in the fresh powder. It has to be one of the funnest things I have ever done. One, you're in the Rockies which are breath taking; two, you're getting the best workout (hiking at 12,000 to 13,500 feet will make you a machine); three, you're snowboarding, and to top it all off, you're with your good friends.
On Monday I am off to Portland for a few weeks to help BMXer and longtime good friend Giles build an art studio/public art gallery. Good times ahead, and spring is in the near future.
