Brett Simpson wins 2009 US Open!

Brett Simpson won the US Open in his hometown of Huntington Beach, California today! Not only that, he got a cool $100,000, the largest amount a surfer has ever won at a single contest!

“I couldn’t ask for more than to win that at home. I am so stoked I won my first six-star WQS event at home!” says Brett.

Hell Yeah, Brett! Congratulations!

Even broken boards couldn't stop Brett yesterday...
