MMC Girly time: Saturday

Not the greatest day for the etnies Girls...

First, Lauren blew out her knee during practice and emerged from medical in a wheelchair and knee wrap.

That's Rachel after slamming hard on her tailbone... which was the only thing that hit the ground before the back of her head.

This is Tamara, riding for etnies Canada.

Rachel got up and took it easy the rest of the day and her 2nd place finish at MMC '08 pre-qualified her for the finals. Lauren got a ride and a mic from emcee Mark Waters and helped with commentary throughout the prelims...

during which Evelien took a stray board to the back of her head! She was setting up for the handrail with her back to the wall... which just so happened to be part of the rooftop gap. The board shot out from the roof and into Evie's head! It looked like she was about to barf, but she came back and tried the handrail a few more painful times before nailing it!

Evelien's revenge

Lorena escaped unscathed and just barely didn't qualify, coming 5th in the prelim. Top four finishers moving onto the Finals were Leticia, Alexis, Amy and Marisa. Rough Saturday, but we'll all be rooting for Rachel and Lacey in the Finals today at 1:30pm!
