etnies BMX Tour: Day 3, Lakewood

Yesterday was spent driving, so that can’t really be counted as a day of the tour. It rained the majority of the 600+ mile drive into NJ - which was no surprise to be honest - but being cooped up in a van for countless hours on end can get a man very irritable to say the least. The guys were excited & itching to get to STAFF BMX as it’s located in one of the most insane skateparks in the country, “The Incline Club”, home skatepark of the famous Scotty Cranmer & home of the infamous, “big daddy”.

Rolling up to the park, it seemed there was already a good sized crowd of kids forming, & going inside confirmed that this was going to be going to be good! There had to be at least 300-400 kids, with about half of them zipping around the park & somehow not colliding. It's a little hard turning up to a new park & jumping in with the locals & feeling comfortable because kids automatically assume your going to know how to ride the park & automatically going to fire out all of your best & biggest moves right off the bat, which is definitely not he case.

After some “feeling the park” out, the guys got into the groove of things & started to have fun. Morgan was blasting the box jump section. Brian was having a good time shredding the small street section, Aaron & Nathan were still feeling a little sheepish in the enormous park. The amazing & semi local Garrett Byrnes was in attendance also carving & sliding his way around the park like no other... with the flow of a surfer. After a heavy autograph session & product toss, the guys went to grab some grub before returning to a private little after hours session at the park that ended up becoming a pretty heavy & fun-filled throw-down.
