Brian Kachinsky at Louisville

Day 1 started a little rough with the etnies RV breaking down again only one week after being repaired & at this point 140 miles south of Nashville TN... which in all honesty could be the other side of the world as far as we’re concerned if it can’t rejoin the tour as it contains all the tour posters, tents, stickers, banners etc etc. Not sure of the problem this time around, but, regardless, the show must go on.

The crew, consisting of Morgan Wade, Aaron Ross, Brian Kachinsky, Nathan Williams and the always entertaining Tony Hamlin headed north from Nashville toward Louisville - a short three hour drive and some fun conversation knowing the day could easily be rained out.

Rolling up to the Louisville Extreme park, regardless of the fact that there were a good few hundred kids there to see them, the team riders were a little bummed to have to deal with some constant drizzle. There was no RV to chill in like they were used to and the huge possibility that they might not be able to ride one of the best parks in the country was on all the guys' minds. Everyone wandered around for a good 45 minutes checking the scene out and, after enough pressure from kids, were convinced to pull out there bikes and do some riding. The rain never stopped, but drizzled constantly… not enough to keep the concrete wet, which made a lot of people happy… Especially the cooped up team riders who had been spending more time driving than riding.

Kids were stoked! Aaron pretty much let every kid in the park ride his circus, freak show of a bike. There was an impromptu flyout session making fun of Nathan Williams’s no-hander style as well as a rapid fire photo shoot with yours truly. The session lasted about 2 hours 'til finally the rain did start coming down... and then it was off to grab some dinner. Tomorrow is Ollie’s Skatepark in Florence, Kentucky (5/4/09). See you there!
