We found a little more time on Saturday to check out the whole festival... 2009 was Coachella's greenest year. Normally, just the trash alone at a three day music festival is enough to spark your eco-conscience, but the Coachella peeps thought well ahead and way beyond garbage...

Recycling bins at Coachella

These mini recycling centers were all over the place and much easier to find than a plain ol' garbage can. The "10 for 1" water bottle deal was back for another year. People definitely took advantage and traded plenty of empties for brand new, full, cold bottles of water. And for the first time, they offered free refills to anyone with their own water bottle! Water in the desert is always a commodity... especially on a weekend like this with triple digit heat!

Handstands for beer

We promised this dude a beer if he could do a 30sec handstand. We totally got hustled.

Then we got bratwurst. The food options are way underrated...
