Hey ladies! Here's a little update from Dirt Rag Mag's Women's Weekend I helped out with. Thanks to Rich at www.mxfreakspix.com for some of the photos:

Nearly a hundred women of various ages came to Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park, where I live here in Cleveland this weekend. It is rated the no.1 park in America by Fuel TV and RIDEBMX mag. check it out at www.raysmtb.com.

We started off by breaking into small groups, depending on levels of experience, and teaming up with some of the pro ladies who came out to coach - myself for BMX freestyle and also etnies rider Darcy Turenne for freeride MTB from Canada, and Stacey Mulligan BMX - along with about 7 other gal shredders! Some of the clinics focused on the bare-bones basic mechanics of riding, practicing simple balancing skills and body positioning, and progressed to more advanced clinics such as conquering the feared rock garden, racing the pump track and catching air on the box jumps. I do believe it was one of the largest multi-bike women-only events to date, and I sure do hope any of you girls reading this can make it to next year's Womens Weekend!!! We all made new friends and learned new moves, here's a few pics from the weekend :)
