COCOA BEACH — While most of the country turned back the clock to enjoy an extra hour of sleep, for 11-year-old surfer Luke Marks, Sunday’s events could not unfold soon enough.
That’s what happens when you are one of the day’s biggest winners — with double gold medals — in the fourth Annual World Skin Cancer Foundation’s AAU Surfing National Championships at Coconuts on the Beach.
Luke Marks Double Gold winner in Menehune (12 and under) and Boys (14 and under). Luke posted a 9.5 and a 5.5 to take the boys final and a 7.5 and a 6.5 to take 1st in the Menehune final.
