Thousands of voters flooded the Del Mar Fairgrounds yesterday for the Coastal Commission hearing deciding the fate of our beloved Trestles. After filling the meeting hall, people made their way to overflow areas and eventually crowded outside knowing their presence was felt.
The day was long but well worth it. We loaded up the etnies rig and headed down with lots of loot.
Once we reached the Fairgrounds, we made sure the "Save Trestles" tees, hats, stickers and signs were in full effect.
Thanks to everyone who joined us in fighting the good fight. The Commission has until January 7, 2009 to weigh all the arguments and come to a decision. Until then, find out more about how you can help at Surfrider.org.
