The first ever etnies & Surfrider Beach Clean Up was a success! Volunteers had a good time for a good cause and at the cost of only a couple hours spent outside on a perfect SoCal morning. Not a bad deal.

We started off the day at the Trestles parking lot for a lesson on the area and its delicate nature.
Surfrider's South Orange County Chapter Chairman Rick Erkeneff explained the effects of litter on the watershed, creek and beach break.
From there we set off on the trail determined to find and retrieve every bit of trash along the way.
There was no shortage of litter...

Just a glimpse of what we're saving.

The tireless etnies crew at the end of the clean up trail... the Surfrider Booth at the Boost Mobile Pro.
Thanks to everyone who came out to help. As you can see from the bags of trash, we really made a difference but the fight for Trestles is not over yet. More info on the Trestles Hearing coming soon!

Any and all trash is better than not cleaning up anything. And also isn't it kind of a good thing that they didn't find more?
