Nina B reports from the front lines after taking 1st place at Holla fo yo Dolla! All pics by 2nd place winner Lisa Myklak.
Day 1 of "HOLLA fo yo DOLLA" mountain bike jam at Clairemont YMCA park in SanDiego kicked off with am, womens and pro classes. DK hooked me up with their "Xenia" mountain bike and three days later I was off to California!
I managed to get away with some sweet moves I normally could do on my BMX but didn't think i could pull off on a mountain bike... new factors such as front suspension and 26" wheels way bigger than a 20", thats a whole lot of extra bike than I'm used to!! The contest was jam format and anytime someone threw down a big move we got handed a ticket for prizes or actual cash! I made $10 and ended up with a whole bunch of prizes : )
