etnies Snow TM Eddie reports from the front lines of Camp of Champs...
Day 1 (Well at least for me but the 3rd on-snow day for the Stepchild week) started out a little grey but, despite the clouds, JP Walker, Simon Chamberlain, Joe Sexton and 300 amped kids managed to have fun with or without the sun. Here are some great pics from Camp of Champs...
Heading up the hill didn't look so promising but you never know at Blackholme
Bears were out and about searching for their next meal
I thought the clouds would clear but I was wrong
JP and the campers getting ready to hit some jibs
And let the feast begin...
JP, Simon and Sean Johnson trying to figure out what to do next
Well, it was called for an early day but that didn't mean the day was over?
JP and Joe Sexton comparing sticks
This is Dill, he's a pug mix and about 6 months old. He was the guard dog at Joe Sexton's Tie-Dye party.
JP Walker showing off his steez... JP it's for the kids...
Simon Chamberlain got some skills on the court or is that a half court?
Tenaya setting up the dye for the Tie-dye party with Joe Sexton.
Joe Sexton supervising on the colors... Looking good.
And the campers diving in on the dying fun!
All the campers were amped to see how their creation was going to turn out.
Ok, I just had to get this shot in because Dill is such a cool pup, plus i was going through some with drawls from my dogs.
Sexton making sure all the campers dipped into all the colors.
This one was for JP Walker, JP? where are you? come and get it....
The campers were excited and thrilled... I mean they are truly feeling that shirt don't you think?
Another proud and excited camper with Joe Sexton giving his thumbs up approval.
No seriously, this is how you really do it... Joe Sexton showing the kids how it's really done.
What does it say? "I WENT TO CAMP OF CHAMPS AND ALL IT GOT WAS THIS CRAPPY STEP CHILD SHIRT"
jpg- Meanwhile on the other end of the court... A mean game of "Knock-out B-ballin".
The mad collection of Tie-dye shirts.
Joe Sexton really knows how to stoke out the kids, he started signing away some of these shirts and all the kids loved it, what a trooper!
Joe hooking up some more campers and brightening up their experience at Camp of Champs.
Even the girls wanted his personal touch.
Can you say "STOKED"! Joe Sexton doing what he can even if he can't get on his shred stick yet.
Joe Sexton really was the star of this night... Joe with some happy campers.
The collection just kept getting bigger.
Yeah! once again Thanks to Joe Sexton for making the trip out to Canada to be with some well deserving campers!
The camp set up was amazing. They had a wide variety of jumps, rails and jibs... definitely one of the best summer camps I've seen.
Stay tuned for Day 2 of Camp of Champs and let's hope the sun will shine...
-Eddie
