etnies Girl Australia distributor rider Sally Fitzgibbons competed at the Brother Neilsen Pro Junior at Burleigh Heads last week, easily winning the event’s inaugural three-star rated girls’ division. The 16-year-old was in good form in her first round as she has been all year, dominating the semi-final and then progressing to the final, which she won 15.25 to 6.35, securing her first win of the season and extending her ASP Australasian Pro Junior series ratings lead to 1345 points. The Pro Junior series will now have a break until September, when it will resume in Wollongong with a few surfers still in contention for the title. Sally leaves for Portugal next week, where she will compete in the ISA World Surfing U18 titles. [Photo via Surfing Australia]
