Fred Mortagne aka French Fred is a film maker and photographer currently living in Lyon, South France.

Working in skateboarding, he captures some of the most arresting images today. Fred brings a more to a photograph than capturing a skateboard trick, he captures the mood, the surroundings and the emotion that surrounds that performance.

With avant ideas on how the art of skateboarding should be documented, Fred brings a refreshing, forward-thinking and exciting voice to this culture. Also interested in the way photography is changing, in this exhibition Fred explores the demise of film in the face of cold digital technology.

Fred has shot for almost every skateboarding publication world-wide and made films and images for many other notable companies, a very important few supporting this event.
