It was a hot and sunny day at Bear Mountain as some of the best snowboarders in the world competed on a sweet rail set-up at the tail end of the summer at this year’s Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails. etnies Girl rider Laura Hadar killed the girls’ class as her gap to 50-50 on the down-flat-down rail secured her first place and $2,000. etnies Girl flow rider and former etnies Girl of the Month Melissa Evans caught everyone’s eye as she stepped on to the scene at her local mountain, nailing a variety of tricks down the flat-down-flat box. Her run earned her second place and $1,500. Also representing etnies Girl and ThirtyTwo were pro rider Leanne Pelosi and Canadian distributor rider Spencer O’Brien, who did a great job as well for the first contest of the season.
