Glen Helen - Josh Grant & Travis Preston on the Podium!

Sep 11 2006 / Monday

Josh GrantJosh Grant

Well, that's all she wrote for the '06 Outdoor season. Glen Helen was the final round of the season and it brought home some solid results for the etnies team. Team Sobe/Samsung Mobile/Honda's Josh Grant went 4-6 for fourth over all on the day, but the big news is that he made up some points on Andrew Short and pulled off third place in the Championship standings! Congrats!

For #123, Yamaha of Troy's Brett Metcalfe, number 5 was his lucky number on Sunday. He went 5-5 for 5th place overall and he finished off the season in 5th! Weird, but good. Brett's YoT and etnies teammate Andrew McFarlane rounded out the season in seventh.

Tommy Hahn put in a really impressive ride for sixth overall and got fourth place in moto2. Richmond Racing Kawasaki's Kyle Chisholm took seventh overall in the 250F class at Glen Helen after recently winning the Canadian MX2 East championship! Nice job guys!

Travis PrestonTravis Preston

In his last ride under the Factory Honda tent, Travis Preston got his best ever finish in the 450F class. Fourth place in moto1 and third in moto2 was enough to get Travis on the podium overall. Travis ended up fifth place in the Championship standings for the second year in a's that for consistency!

Nick Wey was fifth overall over the weekend and got eighth in the Championship, followed by his etnies teammate Tim Ferry who got ninth. Ferry rode really solid all year and will be riding for Factory Kawasaki next year along side James Stewart!
