In 250 moto one Chad Reed got a great start and was out in front of everyone. A couple laps in Reed, who was still leading, derailed the chain on his factory Yamaha. With the loss of a key component to put power to the dirt, Reed slowed in the corner causing Bubba to run into him and let RC pass. Reed was so frustrated that he abandoned his bike on the side of the track and walked through the crowd back to the pits, unfortunately with a DNF. Reed came back strong in the second moto to get fourth place which put him in tenth for the day.

Mike Brown didn’t get the starts or finishes he was looking for, going 10-4 for seventh overall on the day, but he still holds a solid 24 point lead in the 125 National Championship standings over his nearest competitor. Josh Grant put in a solid ride going 4-6 for fourth place.

The series takes another weekend off and will be back July 17 for the Thrilla in Unadilla.

No chain = DNF = that sucks
