Elissa Steamer just returned home to San Francisco after spending six days in Kapalua, Maui. Lucky her! The trip to Hawaii was her prize for winning the Triple Crown series last year. She took her sister with her and just passed the days by chilling on the beach, golfing, checking out the island and relaxing. Late next week, she will head down to Los Angeles to celebrate being named Check It Out Girls Magazine’s “Best Female Skater of 2004.” This is the second year that the Best Female Skater of the Year Award has been presented, and she has won it both years. Congratulations, Elissa!
Lauren Perkins has had a mellow schedule since returning home from an etnies trip to New York a couple of weeks ago. Other than taking a three-day trip to Mammoth, she’s been at home in Huntington Beach skating, doing homework and enjoying the nice weather Southern California has been having lately. Lauren will probably be attending the Check It Out Girls party next week, as well.
