That’s right, folks, etnies broke out the broom and swept the competition at the World Cup of Skateboarding contest in Melbourne, Australia, over the weekend! This marks the second year in a row that Elissa Steamer has won the contest, and Lauren Perkins didn’t even attend the contest last year, so taking second to her teammate was a great feat!
Elissa’s runs consisted of a number of different tricks, including a nollie down the Euro gap (with stairs!) into a bank, and a kickflip 5-0 on the ledge. Lauren also broke it off during the contest with a kickflip up the Euro gap (with stairs!) and a feeble grind down the rail.
Both Elissa and Lauren are now back home from the contest and will probably be spending some time recovering from the jet lag. Elissa will also be spending something else—some of the $5,000 she won at the contest!
Congratulations, Elissa and Lauren!
