Moto-X Team Report 2-02-05

Feb 3 2005 / Thursday

Brian Deegan won Winter X Games gold for the second time in three years. Deegan has earned 10 medals from Summer and Winter X Games combined. Brian was in the perfect spot to take the gold after winning the qualifier for Moto X Best Trick on Friday night, but two bad crashes, one of which consisted of a dizzying head smash, in practice just before the main event almost put Deegan out of the competition. In typical Mulitia style. Deegan toughed it out and rode, winning and making "the best comeback in X Games history" according to Sports Center.

Just before he left to attend the X Games, Twitch crashed, hurt his thumb and knee, and, unfortunately, was unable to ride. Luckily, nothing is broken so we hope he will be back very soon.

Billy Laninovich won his first Supercross in San Francisco last weekend. Billy is part of the '05 Factory Connection team along with Tommy Hahn.

Billy's etnies teammate Mike LaRocco is also part of the team and riding in the 250 class. Mike finished 3rd overall behind Chad Reed, who was awarded the $1,500 Butterfinger Crisp Holeshot Award in San Fran. Further shout outs to Chad Reed for being voted 2nd favorite rider in the TransWorld Moto reader's poll.

Mike is currently in 2nd place overall this season, while Chad and LaRocco currently hold 3rd and 4th place, respectively. the weekend's results are below:
