Leanne Pelosi had an insane 2004-05 season, winning tons of major contests and capping things off by being presented with what are arguably two of the snowboarding industry’s most prestigious awards: TransWorld SNOWboarding’s 2005 Female Rider of the Year and Readers’ Choice Awards. So her friends decided that a surprise party was in order. Leanne just thought she was attending a birthday bash for two of her friends that night, but when she showed up at the GLC Bar in Whistler, B.C., she was treated to her very own celebration, complete with DJ Suspence on the wheels of steel, raffles, cheap drinks and a good old piñata bashing!
