The Wicked Wahine Girls Only Pro/Am Bowl Contest Presented by etnies Girl that took place Saturday, September 18 at the Glendale Skatepark may have been the largest girl skate session to go down since the wave of free public skateparks opening in the last few years started luring female skaters to the concrete in ever increasing numbers. Over 40 females ages eight to 38 entered the contest, and another 10 to 15 girls who were not entered in the contest still came out to skate.

It was amazing to see the tricks and lines girls were doing, considering there was finally a contest held at one of the better concrete parks. The level of skating was impressive, and highlights included:
