Moto-X Team Report 08-31-04

Aug 31 2004 / Tuesday

Trigger Gumm set his ramp up over the weekend and broke the 500cc world record long distance jump that was previously held by Seth Enslow at 205 feet. Trigger first broke the record one year ago at 208 ft. This weekend, he set the record at 213 feet before the cops came and shut them down. We are looking at another spot to jump out in Bakersfield for late September or early October.

Seth Enslow was up in Canada doing a demo over the weekend and is making plans to do some more long jumps of his own very soon.

Brian Deegan is pulling the Mulisha Twist again on the cover of the October 2004 issue of TransWorld Motocross. Theres also an eight-page article inside regarding BrianҒs preparations for the X Games. Twitch also got a short, one-page interview in the same issue.

Speaking of Twitch, he took the first stop of the Triple Crown Series in Phoenix by storm, offering up every backflip variation and defeating Beau Bamburg, Kenny Bartram and Jake Windham in the process.

Dayne Kinnaird broke a bone in his foot in Phoenix.

Nicky Hayden broke his right collarbone when he fell off his Honda CRF450 while training in Pavia, near Milan in northern Italy. He is under the care of MotoGP doctor, Dr Claudio Costa, and has had a plate inserted by the specialist in a short operation.

Tim Ferry is recovering well after he stopped racing while his hand heals. Tim is debating whether he will ride the US open in Vegas Oct 8-9.

Grant Langston signed a two-year deal to ride for Pro Circuit in 2005-06. He will be riding the 125 class on the 250 four stroke.
