The world of DJing is certainly a male-dominated one, so it's always refreshing to see a female on the ones and twos. Case in point: DJ Leanne (Leanne Bitner), one of Vancouver's highest profile DJs. Leanne has played her signature brand of House music alongside world famous artists, maintained numerous residencies and toured extensively, including with 1998's Lilith Fair Tour. With a degree in broadcasting, she has produced and hosted several House music radio shows and has also been a featured vocalist on recordings by leading producers. Ever the entrepreneur, she founded her own production company, GirlOnWax, in 1999, and recently became CEO and founder of The Rhythm Institute DJ school.
