Lauren Perkins is currently at home in Huntington Beach, Calif., spending her days skating and enjoying not being in school for the summer. Two weekends ago, she competed in the Ladies contest at the World Cup of Skateboarding event in Dortmund, Germany. Lauren placed second and pocketed $1,000. Congratulations, Lauren! Up next is the X Games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Friday, Aug. 6.

Elissa Steamer will be in Los Angeles for the X Games as well. Other than getting ready for that, she has been keeping herself busy skating the streets of San Francisco. We also want to wish Elissa a very happy birthday, which she will be celebrating tomorrow!
