Janna Meyen has unfortunately had a few setbacks since her knee surgery. She has been attending physical therapy consistently for the past couple of months; however, she developed scar tissue in her knee, so she had to undergo a few scopes. She will be taking the rest of the summer off to rehab and will hopefully be back on the snow early in the season.
Alexis Waite recently dropped in on a house in Bend, Ore., so she is another proud homeowner. Congratulations, Alexis! She took ownership last week, and has been busy moving in and getting settled. She drove down to Mt. Hood to meet up with the R&D crew to test out some new samples last week and then drove back to Bend to move in. Now she is back in Mt. Hood for the rest of the summer as a guest coach at High Cascade Snowboard Camp.
B-team rider Leanne Pelosi took first place at the rail jam contest held at Windell's Camp last week. She pulled off an impressive front board slide and received a nice lunch box filled with $1,000 cash. She ended up tossing one hundred single bills out to the campers, causing a huge pileup at Windell's campgrounds. Congratulations, Leanne, and thanks for the beer! Leanne will be coaching at High Cascade Snowboard Camp for the rest of the summer, and will be heading back to Whistler after camp, where she will be gearing up for her girls-only winter snowboard camp. Look out for more details on Leanne and her camp!
