Moto-X Team Report 05-06-04

May 6 2004 / Thursday

Chad Reed
is the 2004 AMA 250cc Supercross Champion! He had to finish 8th or better in Las Vegas Saturday night to clinch the title. Chad got a bad start and settled in behind Windham
for twenty laps. This is his first full year on a 250 in the States and he is also the first foreign rider to win the title in thirteen years. Chad will be riding a 450 four stroke this summer in the Outdoor series.

Etnies Moto-X Team Manager Matt Chapman
played in the 5th annual Road to Recovery golf tournament at Badlands Golf Club in Las Vegas. This is a charity event to support AMA riders and their families in the event of an accident or other unforeseen event. Four players get
matched-up with a Supercross rider, and the group played best ball. Matt teamed-up with Kurt Hollar from Moto XXX, Kenny Watson from Utopia Eyewear, a friend of his, and Grant Langston as the Supercross rider. "I have never had so much fun golfing in my life...and all for a very good cause!" commented Chapman. Some of the other riders that played were Chad Reed, Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Emmig, Michael Byrne, Nate Ramsey, Ivan Tedesco and Ernesto Fonseca, to name just a few.

Etnies riders Brian Deegan, Twitch, Dayne Kinnaird, Seth Enslow and Mike Jones are heading to Australia next week for the Crusty tour.
