Chad Reed Wins 250cc Supercross Championship!

May 4 2004 / Tuesday

Over the weekend, etnies' Chad Reed nabbed 2nd place in the 16th and final THQ AMA Supercross event in Las Vegas, securing enough points to be named this year's 250cc THQ AMA Supercross Champion!

The first Australian to ever win the THQ AMA Supercross Championship, Reed claimed ten victories in this year's five-month, sixteen-race series. Chad is the third person in AMA Supercross history to accomplish this incredible feat, and now resides in the distinguished company of former winners Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael.

Throughout the entire season, Chad never relinquished his hold of the 2004 THQ AMA Supercross rankings, finishing in the top two of every single race, except one where he placed third. A lifelong dream accomplished, Chad's already looking forward to racing next year.

etnies would like to congratulate Chad Reed for an incredible season, and for winning the 2004 THQ AMA Supercross Champion crown!
