Attend MGT Snowboard Camp

Dec 1 2004 / Wednesday

If you want to push your pipe, park or pow skills this season, then make sure to check out MGT Snowboard Camp. Based in Western Canada, MGT Snowboard Camp offers two day freestyle snowboard camps with coaching in the slopestyle and halfpipe disciplines for female riders ages seven and up. Girls get to learn how to jib their first rail or hit their first large jump, as well as learn more complicated tricks like a cab 540 spin or a spin onto a difficult rail. MGT also offers the Grom Program specifically designed for riders between the ages of seven and 11.

The goal of MGT, which stands for "More Good Times," is to promote the fun of snowboarding and to progress female riding by providing strong female role models for girls who want to push their abilities and to pursue snowboarding at a high recreational or professional level. The camp boasts coaching from pro snowboarders like etnies Girl's own Alexis Waite, etnies Girl rider and MGT cofounder Leanne Pelosi, Erin Comstock, Dominique Vallee, Amanda Mourant and more.

New this season is the K2/MGT Mega Gnarly Tricks Amateur Rail Jam/Slopestyle hosted by Grouse Mountain. Girls learn tricks during the Park Clinic on day one, and on day two compete for $800 in cash prizes and product giveaways.
