etnies moto-x rider Brian Deegan became the first-ever to land an off-axis backflip in moto-x history, easily taking 1st place in the Moto-X Big Air Competition at the X Games in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Earning a Bronze medal a day earlier in the Moto-X Freestyle Competition at the Los Angeles Coliseum, Brian first pulled the unbelievable off-axis backflip (or "Mulisha Twist", as he calls it) at the end of his run for a roaring crowd of over 40,000--foreshadowing what was to happen at the Big Air Competition the next day, when thousands more entered the Staples Center to see if the Metal Mulisha frontman could pull it off again. |
In the first of his three runs, Deegan dropped-in and spun the Mulisha Twist perfectly, stomped the landing and received a 97.67--the highest score of the day. Though he missed the Mulisha Twist again on his second run, Deegans original score was still the highest and he was awarded the X Games Gold for the Moto-X Big Air Competition.
etnies would like to congratulate Brian Deegan for his Gold and Bronze Medals over the weekend--not to mention making the Mulisha Twist a reality.
