Summer Touring Madness Begins

Jul 7 2003 / Monday

Mike V
has discontinued Vallely Skateboards and has decided to get on another board company.

Elissa Steamer
is in Hollywood trying to figure out what Europe events shes going to attend this summer. Bootleg is in the process of making plans for the later European festivities, which include contests, street skating and all of the other fun things surrounding the events.

Fabrizio Santos
left with the ShortyҒs team for Europe. The Breeze will be gone until July 29. Updates will be made on how hes doing all month long. Keep your eyes open for contest results.

Carlos De Andrade
and Ryan Sheckler
left Monday on a World Industries tour that will take them around the U.S. and lead them up into Canada. Both riders will be gone for the rest of the month. They also might end up going to the last two European contests, but that is still undecided.

Chris Lambert
left for our 2003 etnies Response BBQ Tour last Friday for the whole month of July. Colorado, here we come! Traveling along with Chris will be Tony Silva and photographer Lance Dawes. We should be getting some bonus stuff done outside of the BBQs, as we will be filming on the side all the time.

Lincoln Ueda
is also heading overseas for the month of July to do the whole Europe thing. Lincoln will fly home in two weeks to skate an event over on the East Coast in New York. Then after that, he's flying straight to Prague for the Mystic Cup contest. Lincoln will be home at the end of the month.

Rob G
flies into Colorado on July 17 to meet-up with the 2003 etnies Response BBQ Tour for the rest of the month. He also got invited to go on a Skateboarder / Fuel TV tour in August.

Josh Harmony
rolled his ankle and is still nursing it to health. At first, Josh thought he was going to be out for a while, but his ankle is healing up quite nicely. He says itҒs a lot better than he thought it was going to be. Hell be back on his board in no time.

Tony Silva
turned eighteen recently. Before Josh Harmony rolled his ankle, they had both been filming lines for their upcoming video parts. Tony skated a Foundation demo in Montebello and is currently staying on ғHellrose, (a place in Fullerton where Don Nguyen, Charlie Thomas, DJ Chavez, Paul Otvos, Kris Markovich and a bunch of other skaters live).

Billy Marks
participated in the Boost Mobile contest in Las Vegas, but, unfortunately, did not qualify to get the wild card to enter the contest. Instead, he ended-up losing a couple of hundred dollars gambling.
