Chad Reed 250 World Supercross Champion

May 14 2003 / Wednesday

Chad Reed is the 2003 THQ World Supercross GP 250cc Champion. Chad won the last six races of the year and had eight wins on the season. Reed was on the podium fourteen out sixteen races. Last weekend was the opening round of the Outdoor National series and Reed finished 2nd. Next race is this weekend in Sacramento. Chad is on the cover of the new Dirt Rider
magazine this month. This makes five covers for Reed in the last two months. I will be at Sacramento for the race and also helping with a freestyle demo.

Tim Ferry finished 3rd in the World Supercross series. He finished Glen Helen in 3rd place last weekend and is planning on a better ride in Sacramento this weekend. Timmy is hanging out in Orange County until he leaves to Sac.

Brian Deegan, Twitch, Dayne Kinnaird and Clifford Adoptante have been in Australia for the Crusty Demons of Dirt world tour for the last three weeks. Kinnaird flew home yesterday to go to Texas for the Global X-Games.

Ox, Fluffer, Choad and Garlin did a demo at Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino on Friday. The demo was delayed for a very short time while we waited for paramedics to be on scene just in case. As it turned out, they were not needed and the show went great for everyone involved. We sold quite a few shirts to raise money for Chris Ackerman.

Cameron Steele was on the microphone doing his thing for the crowd. After the show, the boys went inside the store and signed autographs with Ricky Carmichael, Ernesto Fonseca, Mike Larocco, Keven Windham, Kyle Lewis and Larry Ward. The guys signed in the store for about two hours and then it was off to Claim Jumper.
