Finishing the Supercross season with his sixth straight win, etnies' Chad Reed took an impressive victory over defending champion Ricky Carmichael at the THQ World Supercross GP in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend. Though Chad narrowly missed the overall AMA Supercross Championship by seven points, he took home the title of THQ/FIM World Supercross Champion--not to mention an unexpected $1500 holeshot bonus during the finals. Not bad for Chad's first year on a 250 in the U.S.
While Chad raced to one of his best finishes ever, friend and fellow etnies team rider Tim Ferry wasn't far behind. Not only did Tim finish in third place in the 250cc THQ World Supercross GP Season Standings, he earned enough points to cement his position as fifth in the overall AMA Supercross Standings.
With the AMA Outdoor series firing up next weekend, May 11, at the Glen Helen Raceway, Reed and Ferry look to take their winning streak on through the rest of the year. Congratulations on an amazing season, guys! Chad Reed on his way to victory
