Janna Meyen just got $8,000 richer this weekend. She pretty much dominated the slopestyle course at the last stop of the Triple Crown held at Bear Mountain, CA. Janna's run consisted of front side board slides, backside 3's, 180's, and Cab fives. She'll be heading back up to Bend Oregon and to begin focusing on filming for the rest of the season. Congratulations Janna!!!!
Also new b team rider Alexis Waite came in third place at the Triple crown this weekend. Alexis is originally from San Francisco, CA but then moved to Seattle, Washington where her parents currently live. She's based out of Tahoe and rides for Santa Cruz Snowboards, 686 outerwear, Velvet goggles and Exit Real World. Alexis a.k.a. Lexi has been on the circuit for the last few years. Thirty-two and Etnies are stoked to have her on the program. Welcome Lexi and congratulations!!!!
Roberta Rodger had some difficulties with her equipment so she decided to head back to Utah instead of competing in the Triple crown this last weekend. She'll be in Utah for the next couple of weeks to ride some powder then she'll be taking off to the Shakedown in Quebec, Canada.
Dionne Delesalle has been hitting it hard with his crew for the last couple of weeks. They've been sledding everyday looking for new terrain. Dionne's currently bouncing back and forth from N. Vancouver to Whistler everyday.
Markku Koski has been in France for the last couple of weeks getting ready for the Quicksilver Slopestyle. He'll be heading back to the US to film some more with the Hatchets and the Standard film crew. Mike Hatchet (the main man behind the lens at Standard films) reported a few weeks ago that Markku's probably one of the best park and pipe riders he's ever seen.
Nicolas Droz is getting back to his daily routine. He's in France filming, shooting photos and getting ready to compete in a few events as well. He'll be filming with Kingpin productions this season.
Matt Hammer and John Jackson have been slaying it with Standard films. They've been going out everyday for the last couple of weeks. Look out for John, Matt and Markku in the new Standard films premiering sometime this fall.
Tyler Lepore and Kevin Sansalone are on the road right now with Transworld magazine covering a story through out interior B.C. Canada. They've been snowmobiling, helliing as well as hitting up new terrain that no one has seen before. They should be back sometime later this week.
Joni Makinen went out to France to film with some of the Robot food crew. Unfortunately, his recent ankle injury is slowing him down a little. His doctor reported that he may need to go under the knife but we're hoping he won't have to.
Chad Otterstrom has been filming with the Forum crew within the last couple of weeks in Whistler, BC. He says he's not 100% due to his separated ribs but he's doing the best he can to ride and film.
Wille Yli-Luoma will be focusing on filming with the Robot food crew for the rest of the season. He's in Europe right now getting as much work done as he can. He's also been talking to Snowboarder magazine to get an interview for next season.
